I have told a bunch of people about Damien Rice. If you happen to be here it is probably because I directed you here. These are some of the videos that I enjoy watching and listening to.
Blower's Daughter - Creep
This is the first video I saw of Damien Rice. I was searching for Creep Covers and this one came up. I was haunted by the melody and lyrics, finding myself listening to this quite a bit. Then I started looking for other Damien Rice videos and I was hooked. Let's put it like this, in the past 5 years, I have only bought 5 CDs - all Damien Rice.
Accidental Babies
Probably my favorite song to listen to. The piano and Bass are remarkable. My favorite version is a live version from the Orpheum Theater. I wish it was on YouTube so I could share. My friends can contact me and I can lend them my copy.
Here is another good version of Accidental Babies:
Elephant
Elephant was originally called The Blower's Daughter Part II. I also have a great live version of this on MP3 - one of the first times it was played. There used to be a YouTube video from Live on Other Voices that was great - it showed an intimate setting of a busker singing the song. Brilliant.
Then Go
This song uses the wah-wah box. I love the sound.
The Professor
This song I had stuck in my head for a few weeks. Like with all of the songs, I love the live performances.
Cross-eyed Bear
Another song that has a great sound and great meaning.
Woman Like a Man
Here is the angry Damien.
Childish
Humorous Damien
Delicate
This is a beautiful song. This was played on Lost, when Hurley's batteries died.
What this Night is For
This video epitomizes my enjoyment of Damien Rice. The video is too dark to watch - but the music is just great to listen to.
Cannonball
9 Crimes
Insane
Another of my favorites to listen to.
I Remember
Unplayed Piano
Hallelujah - Rock And Roll Hall of Fame
OK. I think that is a great representation of his work. I could probably put 3 or 4 more of many of these songs that I like to listen to in my playlist.
Next, I need to put a page on here that has Damien Rice covers I like hearing.
