Green Beans

Ingredients

2 pounds of fresh green beans, rinsed and trimmed
1/2 cup butter
1/2 white onion, chopped
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/4 cup of water
salt and pepper (to taste)

 

Cooking Directions

Trim and rinse the green beans.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 5 minutes.  Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking.
 
Melt the butter in a large skillet over high heat.  Add the onions and garlic.  Cook for 1 minute.  Add the green beans, and mix well. Stir in the soy sauce.  Add the bouillon and water and stir.  Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes.  Drain.  Season with salt and pepper.
